Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FrontendHelpers at frontendhelpers.com (the "Site"). Please read them before using the Site. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Site.
The short version: everything here is free to use, including in commercial work, with no attribution required. In return, the Site and everything it generates are provided "as is" — you are responsible for checking and testing anything you use in your own projects.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. What the Site Provides
FrontendHelpers provides free, browser-based developer utilities, code snippets, reference material and educational content. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no fees. All tools run entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
We may add, change, suspend or remove any part of the Site at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available uninterrupted or error-free.
3. Licence to Use Our Content and Generated Output
You are free to use, modify and distribute the following in personal and commercial projects, with no attribution required:
- Any output generated by the tools (meta tags, schema markup, robots.txt files, CSS, HTML, placeholder text, colour values and similar)
- The CSS animation snippets, JavaScript snippets and code examples published on the Site
This licence does not extend to the Site's own name, logo, branding, design, page copy, articles or written explanations, which remain our property and may not be republished or presented as your own without permission.
4. No Warranty — Provided "As Is"
The Site, its tools, its generated output and all educational content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that generated code, markup, configuration files or advice will be correct, complete, current, suitable for your purpose, or compatible with your systems, browsers or third-party platforms. Web standards, search engine behaviour and browser support change over time, and content on the Site may become outdated.
5. Your Responsibility for Generated Output
You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing and validating anything you take from the Site before using it — particularly where it may affect a live website. This includes, without limitation, robots.txt directives, meta tags, canonical tags, structured data and any code affecting site indexing, security or availability.
By way of example only: an incorrectly configured robots.txt file can prevent a website from appearing in search results. It is your responsibility to verify such files against your own requirements and your search engine's official documentation before deploying them.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, traffic, search rankings, business or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Site or anything obtained from it — whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Because the Site is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you, where it cannot lawfully be excluded, shall not exceed £100 (one hundred pounds sterling).
If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your statutory rights.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or to produce content that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive or infringing
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its infrastructure or any connected systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including through automated scraping, denial-of-service activity or excessive automated requests
- Introduce malware or any other malicious code
- Remove, obscure, or interfere with any advertising, or attempt to manipulate advertising revenue by artificially generating clicks or impressions
- Copy the Site's design, branding or written content in order to present it as your own service
8. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The Site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense, and uses Google Analytics and Cloudflare. Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Advertisements are served by Google and we do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for the content of any advertisement or the products and services they promote.

9. External Links
The Site links to external resources (such as documentation, standards bodies and learning materials) for your convenience. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. A link does not imply endorsement.

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction — except that, if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
