At FrontendHelpers, accessible from frontendhelpers.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have — wherever in the world you are visiting from.
The short version: our tools run entirely in your browser and never send what you type anywhere. Analytics and advertising cookies are off by default and only activate if you accept them. Your checklist progress stays on your device. We never sell your personal information.

Information We Collect
Nothing you type into our tools. Every tool on this site processes your input client-side, in your own browser. Nothing you enter is transmitted to, stored on, or logged by any server.
On-device preferences. Your cookie consent choice and your Dev Essentials checklist progress are stored in your browser's localStorage, on your device only. This data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Usage data (with your consent). If you accept non-essential cookies, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collect pseudonymous usage data: pages visited, session duration, referring pages, browser and device type, mouse movements, clicks, and scrolls. IP-derived approximate location is also processed. This data does not directly identify you, and we only collect it with your consent.
Advertising data (with your consent). If you accept non-essential cookies, Google AdSense may set advertising cookies as described below.
Hosting and security data. Our site is delivered by Cloudflare, which transiently processes visitor IP addresses in order to serve pages, prevent abuse and maintain security. This happens for every website request on the internet and is based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning site.
Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, and any information you choose to include. We use it only to respond to you, and we do not add you to any marketing list.
What We Do Not Collect
We have no user accounts, no sign-up forms and no comment systems. We do not collect names, dates of birth, phone numbers, postal addresses, payment details or any special-category data, and we never sell personal information to anyone.
Legal Bases for Processing (UK & EU GDPR)
- Consent — analytics and advertising cookies (given via the consent banner; withdraw at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer)
- Legitimate interests — transient security and delivery processing by our hosting provider, and responding to emails you send us
- Legal obligation — where we must comply with applicable law
Cookies
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you Accept All or Reject Non-Essential cookies. Non-essential cookies stay off unless and until you accept. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense
FrontendHelpers uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to frontendhelpers.com and other websites on the internet. These cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing history. Where consent is required by law, these cookies are only set after you accept non-essential cookies.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. It runs only after you accept non-essential cookies. Google retains this analytics data on our behalf for a maximum of 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. You can additionally opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replays to improve the site's usability and user experience. Microsoft Clarity sets cookies and runs only after you accept non-essential cookies. We also share data with Microsoft to improve their products and services. International Data Transfers
Google, Microsoft, and Cloudflare process data on servers that may be located outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. These companies provide legally recognised safeguards for international transfers.
Data Retention
- Analytics data — retained by Google for up to 14 months, and by Microsoft Clarity according to their data policies, then deleted automatically
- Emails you send us — kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry
- On-device data (consent choice, checklist progress) — stays on your device until you clear it or use the Reset button
Your Rights (UK & EU)
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (via "Cookie Settings"). To exercise any right, email hello@frontendhelpers.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); in the EU, your national data protection authority.
Your Rights (United States)
If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — which includes cookies used for cross-context behavioural advertising.
To opt out: choose "Reject Non-Essential" in the cookie banner or click "Cookie Settings" in the footer at any time. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out.
Children's Privacy
FrontendHelpers is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@frontendhelpers.com and we will promptly delete it.
Third-Party Privacy Policies
This policy does not cover third-party services. Our analytics and advertising partners are Google (privacy policy) and Microsoft (privacy statement). Our hosting provider is Cloudflare (privacy policy). We encourage you to review them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example if we add new features or services. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Your Consent Choices
Where processing is based on consent, that consent is collected through the cookie banner — never assumed from your use of the site — and you can withdraw it at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer. Essential functionality works fully whether or not you consent to anything.
